Monthly Sales Begin Recovery
The number of closed transactions in Postal Codes 23185, 23188 and 23168 for January this year – 1,261 – was approximately 11% below that of January 2104 and followed a month to month decline for most of the year that appears to have reached its low point in November. As the traditional spring selling season begins to bloom it is expected that both median prices and sales volume will continue to improve. Agent comments heard around the office indicate that buyer interest is on the rise and the residential real estate market, in general, is in recovery.
The above information was obtained through online statistical information available to subscribers of the Williamsburg Multiple Listing Service and is believed to be accurate but not guaranteed. This sales data does not include transactions that were not listed for sale through the WMLS but is helpful in identifying trends as the vast majority of homes sold were listed for sale by participating brokers.
I purchased a townhouse with John as the realtor, and he went above and beyond in several ways as he moved the process through every stage. He spent extra time with me at the property before I submitted my offer. He spent extra time making sure the offer and contract included several unique things that I needed. He communicated perfectly with the lender, insurance and closing agent for me on several occasions to make sure everything moved towards my chosen closing date. He recommended several smart things that made my renovations easier before my move in. And even after move in, he checked back several times and provided insights and help that I have never received from any other realtor. If you want the kind of above and beyond service that only comes from experience, stellar communication and attention to every detail, work with John. It was the best decision I made when I started my purchase and moving process.
